A light tester checks every function from the plug end, so one person can go through the lighting alone instead of standing at the back while someone else works the switches.
How to choose
Match the pin count to the connection you are testing. A wireless tester lets you stand at the lamp while the functions are switched. A connector tester checks the socket itself rather than the trailer.
Light testers
A tester tells you which side of the connection the fault sits on. If it is the trailer, see rear lights and bayonet connectors. If it is the socket, see trailer sockets.
