How to choose the right brake rod

Horse trailers and boat trailers are built on the same braked axles, so the same brake rods fit them — the length, thread and fixing decide, not the type of trailer.

How do I know the right size of brake rod?

Measure the existing brake rod and check the total length, thread length, thread dimension, diameter and connections at both ends. Also check whether the brake rod is used together with a fork head, rigging screw, equalizing yoke or SL clip. The correct dimension and adjustment are important for the brakes to function correctly.
