Ball stud in size Ø16 with an M10 thread. The length stated for the gas spring end piece is 37 mm. The other two M10 studs in this family are Ø13: 32 mm (article 6890010) and 38 mm (article 6890011).

Ball studs and gas springs

The end piece of a gas spring clips onto the ball, so the spring can pivot as it extends and retracts instead of being loaded sideways. The thread has to suit the mounting and the length decides how far the ball sits out from it, so a stud is chosen on both figures. Keep the ball clean when a new end piece is pressed on, and check that the stud is tight in its thread.
