Choosing a length and reading the daN figures

LC 200 daN is the rated lashing capacity and the figure to plan with; the breaking strength of 400 daN is a test value and not a working load. A short strap suits anchor points close together, where a longer one would leave a tail that has to be tied off around itself to take up slack. Keep the webbing clear of sharp edges and stop using a strap once it is cut or the stitching has pulled.
