The opening width is 34.00 mm, and that is the measurement that decides what the hook can be put over. Self-locking hooks with a clevis

A self-locking hook holds itself closed, so the connection stays in the throat of the hook rather than resting against an open bill. The clevis is the forked end, which takes the connection between its two cheeks. Compare the size designation and the maximum load with the rest of the assembly before fitting. Replace a hook that is deformed, cracked, notched or worn, or that no longer closes properly, rather than repairing it.
