Fitting a mudguard on a trailer
A mudguard keeps water, gravel and road dirt thrown up by the tyre off the load and off the traffic behind you. Measure the wheel and the space above it before ordering: the guard has to clear the tyre through the whole of the suspension travel and still meet the mounting points on the frame. Check the fixings after the first few loaded trips and at every service — a guard that has worked loose will rub the tyre.
