Overrun brake Knott KFL20-A 2000 kg GFV for trailer

The Knott overrun brake KFL20-A in version GFV is a mechanical overrun device for braked trailers with a maximum authorised mass of 2000 kg. This overrun brake is used in the trailer braking system where the movement from the drawbar is transferred to the trailer wheel brakes during braking.

Overrun brake in trailer braking system

When the trailer is pushed forward towards the towing vehicle during braking, the overrun brake is activated and the braking force is transferred through the mechanism to the trailer wheel brakes. During service, the components of the braking system should be checked regularly and worn parts replaced to ensure that the trailer brake functions correctly.
