Brake shoes 160×35 Knott early version for trailer

Brake shoes 160×35 for brake systems from Knott on braked trailers. The set contains 4 brake shoes including spring set artnr 4010071 and 1175002 and is used for service or replacement of worn brake components in drum brakes. This is an early version, and for models from 1989 onwards article number 4010001A is used. Always check brake type and dimension before installation.

Brake shoes in drum brake on trailer

The brake shoes are mounted in the trailer’s drum brake where they are pressed against the inside of the brake drum when the braking system is activated. The contact between brake lining and drum creates friction that slows the wheel’s rotation. During service the brake shoes and springs should be checked carefully and worn components replaced to ensure the braking system functions correctly.
