The Knott overrun brake KFG30-A in version GF is a mechanical overrun device for braked trailers with a maximum authorised mass of 3000 kg. This Knott KFG30-A is used in the trailer braking system and transfers the movement from the drawbar to the wheel brakes during braking.

Overrun brake in trailer braking system

During braking the trailer is pushed forward against the towing vehicle which activates the overrun brake. The movement is transferred through the brake mechanism to the trailer’s wheel brakes and creates braking force. During service the components of the braking system should be checked regularly and worn parts replaced to ensure that the trailer brake functions correctly.
