AE overrun brake KPLT ZAF 2.0-3 is a mechanical overrun device for braked trailers where the correct model and centre distance are critical for fit. The overrun brake is used in the trailer braking system and transfers the movement from the drawbar to the wheel brakes during braking.

Overrun brake in trailer braking system

When the trailer moves forward towards the towing vehicle during braking, the overrun brake is activated and the force is transferred through the brake mechanism to the trailer’s wheel brakes. During service, the centre distance and mounting should be checked carefully to ensure that the unit corresponds to the existing installation.
