Overrun brakes

Overrun brake is a mechanical device that, during braking, converts kinetic energy via the brake lever arm which pulls on the brake transmission brake wire; the force is transferred via expanders in each wheel brake where the brake shoes are pressed out against the brake drum and create the braking effect. Mechanical brakes are completely dominant on the European market for trailers, caravans, boat trailers, car transport trailers, and horse trailers.
