Adapters let an older trailer work with a newer tow bar and the other way round. A 7-pin plug carries the basic lighting functions, a 13-pin plug adds the extra circuits a caravan or a newer trailer expects. This range covers both, and the parts that go between them.
What the range covers
6 rigid adapters, 2 of them built for LED lighting. 2 are short cable adapters of 0.5 m, for where a rigid adapter will not sit. 9 are replacement plugs in 7 and 13 pin, in plastic and aluminium, with flat pin and screw connections. The last 2 are a rotatable plug holder and a seal for a 7-pin socket.
Choosing between an adapter and a new plug
An adapter is the quicker fix when the trailer is borrowed or the mismatch is occasional. Fitting the right plug is the better answer when the trailer is yours and the tow vehicle is not changing. Check which way the mismatch runs before ordering, since a 13 to 7 adapter and a 7 to 13 adapter are not interchangeable.
