How to choose the right rigging screw

When choosing a rigging screw, it is important to check the thread dimension, thread step, thread direction, length, diameter, fixing and how it is to be connected to the brake transference. Also check whether the rigging screw is to be used together with a brake rod, fork head, equalizing yoke or SL clip.

How do I know the right size of rigging screw?

Measure the existing rigging screw and check the length, thread dimension, thread step, right- or left-hand thread and connection to other brake parts. Also check how the rigging screw is mounted in the brake transference, as the wrong thread or wrong length can make adjustment difficult or incorrect.
