About Valeryd

Since 1958, Valeryd has helped people keep trailers moving safely with dependable products, practical knowledge and an ever-growing range of spare parts.

Our story began in Larv

Valeryd’s roots go back to a small vehicle workshop in Larv, outside Vara in western Sweden. Brothers Bernt and Per-Owe Larsson repaired cars and trucks and built custom solutions for local farmers. In 1958, a local business owner asked them to build a light trailer that could be towed behind a car. The first unbraked trailer soon rolled out of their workshop.

Demand grew quickly. During the 1960s, the business moved to larger premises and became known as Valerydssläpet. Production expanded from made-to-order trailers to a wider range that included horse and car transporters.

From trailer manufacturing to the aftermarket

Valeryd continued to grow through the 1970s and 1980s. In 1991, the 10,000th trailer carrying the Valeryd name left the factory. Trailer manufacturing was sold in 1994, but the company’s knowledge of trailers became the foundation for a new direction: components, spare parts and smarter ways to identify the right fit.

This led to Valeryd Easy Search, developed to help customers find compatible spare parts without guesswork.

Growing across Europe

• 2001: Valeryd introduced a complete spare-parts retail concept for trailer and caravan dealers.
• 2004: Easy Search moved online, making parts identification available to dealers and end customers.
• 2007: Valeryd expanded further across the Nordic region and added new product groups, including gas springs.
• 2012: Sales expanded to more European markets, including Germany, France and the Balkans.
• 2019: A modern logistics centre opened in Vårgårda to support faster service and greater availability across Europe.

Valeryd combines decades of trailer experience with modern logistics and digital tools. Our goal remains simple: make it easier to find the right product and keep trailers, caravans and related equipment working safely.
