Carabiner DIN 5299-C 8x80 mm stainless steel for trailer
Stainless steel carabiner in size 8x80 mm, made to DIN 5299-C, with a maximum load of 113 kg. The hooks are supplied in a pack of two and the reference number is 013003102-VP. It is the smallest of the four sizes in this range, with 9x90 mm, 10x100 mm and 12x140 mm above it.
Working with a snap hook
A carabiner of this type is closed by a sprung gate, so a rope, chain or net can be hooked on and taken off again without tools. Keep the pull along the length of the hook rather than sideways against the gate, and stay inside the stated maximum load. Before you rely on it, check that the gate closes the whole way and that the spring brings it back on its own.
