Ratchet tie down set 25mm Length 5m, 400 daN

Ratchet tie down set 25 mm, 5 m, for trailer

Ratchet tie down set with a strap 25 mm wide and 5 m long, fitted with double J-hooks. The breaking strength is 800 daN and the lashing capacity, LC, is 400 daN.

Reading the daN figures on a tie down

LC 400 daN is the rated lashing capacity and the figure to plan a load around; the breaking strength of 800 daN is a test value, not a working load, and a strap should never be worked towards it. Run the strap so the hooks pull in line with the anchor points rather than sideways off them, keep the webbing off sharp edges, and take a strap out of use once the webbing is cut or the stitching has started to pull.
