Plastic parts as wear items

Plastic hardens with age, cold and sunlight, so a part like this is worth looking over rather than assumed to be sound because it is still in place. Replace it once it has cracked, gone brittle or lost its shape. When you order, matching the reference number is the surest way of getting the same part as the one fitted, since that number identifies it independently of colour.
