The gas spring on the handbrake lever
The gas spring assists the movement of the handbrake lever and helps hold it in the position it is set to. It is a wear part: once it has lost pressure the lever feels different and no longer stays put as well, and the spring is replaced rather than adjusted. Where a force is stated, match that as well as the length.
