Fitting a weldable hook

The hook is welded to the body rather than bolted on, so the position it is set in is permanent. Offer the part up first, close the lock onto it to check the reach and the angle, and mark the position before any welding is done. Clean the surfaces where the weld goes, and check that the lock still closes properly once the joint has cooled.
