Locking pawl for trailer handbrake levers

The pawl engages with the teeth of the gear segment when the handbrake is pulled up – a one-way locking mechanism that allows the lever to be pulled up step by step but prevents it from sliding back. Keeps the handbrake system locked so the trailer remains stationary when parked.
