Overrun brake ALKO 60S/2 750 kg for trailer
ALKO overrun brake 60S/2 is a mechanical overrun device for braked trailers with a maximum authorised mass of 750 kg. This ALKO overrun brake is used in the trailer braking system and transfers the movement from the drawbar to the wheel brakes during braking.
Overrun brake in trailer braking system
When the trailer is pushed forward towards the towing vehicle during braking, the overrun brake is activated and the force is transferred through the brake mechanism to the trailer's wheel brakes. During service, the brake ID and the components of the braking system should be checked to ensure that the overrun brake matches the trailer's installation and functions correctly.
