Round webbing slings in polyester
Polyester webbing does not rust, but it is damaged by cuts, abrasion and heat rather than wearing down evenly. Protect it where it runs over a sharp corner and keep it from being dragged across rough ground. Look over the full length before every use: cuts, chafed edges, melted fibres or an unreadable label all mean the sling is taken out of service. The maximum load applies to this part alone — the weakest part of the arrangement sets the real limit.
