Support legs on a trailer

A support leg takes part of the weight of the body when the trailer is parked or loaded, and the footplate spreads that weight so the leg does not press down into soft ground. Wind the leg down until it is carrying but not lifting the trailer, and keep within the stated maximum weight of 400 kg. Wind it fully up and check that it is secure before towing.
