Swivel hook with latch G80 7/8-8mm, 2000Kg

Swivel hook with latch G80 7/8-8mm, 2000 kg

Swivel hook with a latch, size designation G80 7/8-8mm, with a maximum load of 2000 kg. The ring type is a D-ring. The opening width is 21.50 mm, and that is the measurement that decides what the hook can be put over. The same hook is listed in other sizes as well: 5300 kg (article 6510243), 3150 kg (6510242) and 1120 kg (6510240).

The swivel and the latch

The swivel lets the hook turn in relation to what it is attached to, so the chain can find its own line instead of being forced to take up a twist. The latch closes the throat, so the connection is not lifted out of the hook when the chain goes slack. Check that the latch closes fully and that the swivel turns freely. A hook that is deformed, cracked, notched or worn is replaced rather than repaired, and the stated maximum load is a limit, not a target.
