VALERYD supplies platform latches, locking catches and drop side locks for trailers, for surface mounting.
A platform lock holds the drop side or tailgate of a trailer shut while driving. The latch is fitted to the side and the locking catch, or hasp, to the part it closes against, so the two are chosen together and the hole spacing has to match.
What the range covers
There are four platform latches, from 102x31 mm up to 270x80 mm, including the Pro and DK models, and six locking catches and hasps matched to them. There are also two drop side locks with hook, left and right, three trailer latch bails and hooks, two rubber hood straps and two safety chains, one in steel and one in PVC.
Fitting
All of these are surface mounted, so the existing hole spacing decides what fits. Measure the centre distance on the current catch before ordering, and check that the latch and the catch come from the same pair. Several catches in the range are listed against a specific latch part number.
