Equalizing yokes on a tandem trailer

On a tandem trailer the pull from the coupling has to reach the brakes on both axles, and the yoke is what divides it so one brake is not loaded harder than the rest. With the brakes adjusted evenly the yoke stands square to the direction of pull, so a yoke sitting skewed is a sign to go back over the adjustment. Check that it pivots freely and that the seats and pins are not worn.
